The CCI Research Foundation Board of Directors is accepting applications for Board service for a three-year term, which will begin October 18, 2024. Applications will open on May 1, 2024, and will close on May 31, 2024.
The CCI Research Foundation was founded in 2018 by the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI), the leader in perioperative certification. Establishing the CCI Research Foundation was an extension of CCI’s sustained commitment to the perioperative community.
The CCI Research Foundation’s mission is to fund research that contributes to the advancement of perioperative nursing science and the enhancement of patient care. Numerous factors have traditionally limited the advancement of perioperative nursing research- lack of a core group of researchers, sustained funding sources, and the necessary support system in place to develop perioperative researchers.
Position Obligations:
• Attend a minimum of four (3 virtual, 1 potentially in-person) Board meetings per year.
• Responsive to email correspondence.
• At least twenty (20) hours per year of document review and meeting preparation activities.
• A clear understanding of perioperative research, fiduciary, and confidentiality requirements for serving on a board.
Experience Requirements:
• Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience as an RN and researcher, or educator in perioperative nursing.
Experience in one or more of the following areas are desirable:
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Background in project or program management, development, or evaluation.
• Volunteer board/governance experience.
• Marketing or business development experience
